Great food, fresh seafood. You can call ahead of time to request a fish ( we reserved a fresh red snapper) before arriving.
The place is clean, food is great for a Chinese restaurant in Vegas off the strip, I definitely recommend Taste.
Even family from Vancouver were happy with the quality and taste.

This is a good Chinese restaurant in the South West area. The interior decor is bright, roomy and comfortable. The price is good, maybe slightly more expensive than the Chinatown but it was still acceptable. Portions are huge! Between my mom and me, we ordered 4 dishes and we got so much to take home!
I'd prefer the chef's special menu to the regular menu, everything seems more interesting.
Golden crispy salmon skin: Deep fried salmon skin with salty egg yolk batter, it sounded disgusting but it tasted really good. It was savory and crispy. A perfect dish paired with any alcohol!
Fresh mix mushrooms with shredded duck: Cooked with sweet sauce which tasted like teriyaki sauce, stirred fried with mushrooms and meat. It was a little too sweet for me but my toddler loved the sauce to pair with her rice.
Crispy foreshank: this is my least fav dish. It was deep fried pork foreshank with sweet and sour dipping sauce on the side. It was a little salty and the meat was juicy. However it was nothing special to me.
Taiwan 3 cups sauce pig intestine: The flavor was good. I wish the sauce would be reduced a little bit more, it seemed too wet for me. The traditional 3 cups usually had less sauce and yet thicker sauce. -

I was very excited upon arrival. A new Chinese spot on this side of town?!
I was feeling pretty indecisive and hangry and we decided to let the server choose for us. Unfortunately, for us it might be my worst idea yet. He chose very traditional and needless to say I didn't enjoy what I had. He offered the salted yolk on shrimp and the Mongolian stew. We did enjoy the sautéed choy sun and the hot and sour soup. So back to my normal Chinese go-tos!
I will most definitely come back, but probably won't ask for a recommendation again. Haha. -

Party of 60 please...yes my friends booked 6 tables on a Saturday afternoon for an iconic celebration...
Taste Service & Ambiance: You walk in and you're greeted with a very attractive contemporary dining area with tall ceilings and Chinese decor accents. Round tables that seat 10 with a lazy susan in the center encourage family style dining. The kitchen did a great job with getting the dishes out for our massive group. I appreciated how they helped our friends with cutting and serving the cake they brought in. The server at our table was obviously having a bad day. He seemed annoyed when we asked for soy sauce and later when asked for red vinegar. Other than him, Taste service was pretty good overall.
Taste Cuisine: All the dishes that were ordered, were delish and generous in size. We all enjoyed authentic tasty dishes this afternoon and everything we ordered was on point. My all stars:
Honey Walnut Shrimp: Tons of shrimp on the plate and the perfect amount of sweetness.
Peking Duck - Skin was perfect crispy and the buns were on point.
Roast Duck - Savory af
French Style beef skillet - This is my first time having this and it was great
Hong Kong Pan-Fried Noodle with Beef - Super generous with the beef on this dish.
Outside of our grumpy server, I had a great experience at Taste. The dishes were all amazing and I'll definitely be back to try more authentic dishes. Enjoy! -

When I'm homesick for my Shanghai past life I'll jump off the expressway and come to Taste. They have live seafood, authentic mainland, Cantonese and Taiwanese options on the menu. The food couldn't be more delicious. I've had the Peiking Duck, Shanghainese soup dumplings (小笼包), 鱼香肉丝茄子 eggplant dish and I definitely recommend any of the Sichuan options. I dont have many repeat restaurant visits in Vegas, but this will continue to be one. Chinese Taste bud celebration at Taste in Vegas.
